If you have previously applied to an Israel Institute program, you may begin your application. If you have never applied to one of our programs before, please start by clicking on the green button in the upper-right corner of your screen that says, "Register."

About the Application

Once you start your application, you may leave and come back at any time to complete or update your information. However, once you submit the application, you will be unable to edit your responses.

This application pertains to courses to be taught during the 2020 Spring semester


APPLICATION PROCESS FOR UNIVERSITIES

To apply on behalf of a University that would like to run an International Course, please be prepared to submit the following materials:

1.     Our online application, and

2.     A proposal and budget according to the following format:

a.     Contact: The name, title, postal address, phone number, and email address for the main contact for this project at your organization.

b.     University Sponsor: Provide the name and a short description of your university/college and department. Please also describe the course offerings available about or related to Israel at your institution.

c.     Course Details: Please provide the course name, number of credits, level (graduate or undergraduate), course description, expected enrollment, and dates (or proposed dates) of the course. Please be specific about how many days and how many hours each day the course will meet.

d.     Faculty: Please describe how this course will be taught. If the course will be taught by a local faculty member, please provide the name, rank, and curriculum vitae (CV) for the lead instructor. If you intend to use outside faculty as guest lecturers, please also provide their names, ranks, home affiliations, and C.V.s, as well as the dates, times, and topics of their lectures. If the whole course will be taught by an outside instructor, indicate this and provide his/her name, rank, home affiliation, and C.V. If you need help identifying faculty or guest lecturers, please describe the type of instructor you are looking for.

e.     Budget: Include a line-item budget that describes how the grant will be spent.

To apply as a Faculty Member interested in teaching an International Course, please be prepared to submit the following materials:

1.     Our online application;

2.     A proposal and budget according to the following format:

a.     University Sponsor: Provide the name and a short description of the university/college and department where you will offer the course. Please also describe the course offerings about Israel available at this institution.

b.     Course Details: Please provide the course name, number of credits, level (graduate or undergraduate), course description, expected enrollment, and dates (or proposed dates) of the course. Please be specific about how many days and how many hours each day the course will meet.

3.     An official invitation from the school that has invited you to teach a course about modern Israel. The invitation (on university letterhead) must include:

a.     A commitment to run a course about modern Israel that you will teach.

b.     The name, dates, and number of credits for the course,

4.     The complete proposed syllabus for the course.
