Thank you for your interest in the Israel Institute's Teaching Fellow Program.

If you have previously applied to an Israel Institute program through this portal, you may begin your application. If you have never applied to one of our programs or never used this portal before, please start by clicking on the green button in the upper-right corner of your screen that says, "Register."  Do not click on the green "Apply" button until you have registered with us.

Please Note: If you are applying to multiple programs or have applied using this system before, you only need to register once.

About the Application

Once you start your application,  you may leave and come back at any time to complete or update your information. However, once you submit the application, you will be unable to edit your responses.

Please make sure you type all of your information in English.

Within the application, you will be asked for the following:

  • A high-resolution headshot (300 ppi);
  • An academic curriculum vitae (CV);
  • Your dissertation abstract;
  • A syllabus for a course you have taught about Israel (if you have taught one before); and
  • A statement on your teaching experience. This should be a single document with three distinct sections:
    1. Israel Courses: In the first section, list the courses you have taught about modern Israel, along with a one-paragraph course description for each. Please indicate the title of the course(s), the number of times you have taught the course(s), where you taught it/them, the course level(s), and number of students enrolled.
    2. Potential Courses: In the second section, list any additional courses you could potentially teach about modern Israel, along with a one-paragraph course description for each.
    3. Other Courses: In the third section, list the non-Israel-related courses you have taught, along with a one-paragraph course description for each. Please indicate the title of the course(s), the number of times you have taught the course(s), where you taught it/them, the course level(s), and number of students enrolled.
