Description

Thank you for your interest in the Israel Institute's Teaching Fellow Program.

Starting in Summer 2018, we are using a new application system. To start your application, please click on the green button in the upper right corner of your screen that says, "Register." Do not click on the green "Apply" button until you have registered with us.

Please Note: If you are applying to multiple programs, you only need to register once.

About the Application

Once you start your application,  you may leave and come back at any time to complete or update your information. However, once you submit the application, you will be unable to edit your responses.

Within the application, you will asked for the following:

  • A high-resolution headshot (300 ppi);
  • An academic curriculum vitae (C.V.);
  • A syllabus for a course you have taught about Israel (if you have taught one before); and
  • A statement on your teaching experience and philosophy. This should be a single document with three or four distinct sections:
    • In the first section, list the courses you have taught or could potentially teach about modern Israel, along with a one-paragraph course description for each. Clearly identify which (if any) of these courses you have taught before, the number of times you have taught the course(s), where you taught it/them, and the level(s) and number of students enrolled.
    • In the second section, list the non-Israel-related courses you have taught or could potentially teach, along with a one-paragraph course description for each. Clearly identify which (if any) of these courses you have taught before, the number of times you have taught the course(s), where you taught it/them, and the level(s) and number of students enrolled.
    • In the third section, describe your teaching philosophy.
    • If you have won any teaching awards, please describe them in the fourth section.
